This varies from person to person however when you start to notice lines that appear regularly with normal facial expression, it may be a good time to start. The aim is to prevent these lines from getting deeper as deep lines are more difficult to treat. Usually late 20’s or early 30’s as a guide.
If the lines have been there for many years and can be seen even when the muscle is not contracting, anti-wrinkle treatment may not take these away completely, however, it may soften the lines with repeated treatments. A combination of treatments may be best in these cases.

Chemical Peel FAQs

Our most commonly asked questions about chemical peels.

Superficial chemical peels are safe for all skin types. During your consultation we will discuss assorted options available depending on your skin concerns to ensure we chose the most appropriate chemical peel to target these concerns effectively. Deeper chemical peels may require your skin to be prepared with home skincare beforehand. This will be discussed at your consultation.
Superficial peels may cause light dusting or flaking of your skin. The deeper chemical peels will cause your skin to peel off, involving a little more downtime but this will be factored into your social commitments/planned holidays. The more obvious the peeling, the more effective your results will be.
This depends on the skin concern we are addressing and which type of peel we are using. The best results are seen after a course of 3 peels about 4 weeks apart.
